Thanks to Lindsey and Kalsey for explaining that if you have a blog people expect to see new post often. In today’s world, we are all so busy and things move fast. What use to be quick is now not fast enough. I think finding a balance in how we communicate with today’s tools is very important.
Here is what I think:
1. Return phone calls and emails right away preferably the same day.
2. Have checkpoints during the day to check and return messages. Do not have your cell phone or computer notify you every time you get a message. If you stop what you are doing every time you get a message that makes it hard to get everything done and your thoughts and creativity are interrupted and you need to regroup. Besides, we all know how it feels to be talking to someone and they stop to look at their phone (I know this is something I need to work on).
3. Make sure your information is correct on your web site, face book, email signature, advertisements, even your business cards. People change emails or drop phone numbers and we forget to check the basics so people can get in touch with us.
4. Everyone wants information now! Waiting a few days or sometimes hours does not work in today’s marketplace. Make sure potential clients can find the information they need. Everyone wants to have information at his or her fingertips. I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep your web site up to date. I know it is easy to forget or put this off, but make sure you review everything today.
